Smoking cigarettes is not a habit of mine, but more of a tendency of something I do in a social setting after I have consumed an alcoholic beverage or two. I have not been smoking much, nor have I really stopped that tendency. This class and these posts help to keep it fresh in my mind, and help me remind me of my goal to stop smoking forever. My other habit that I am changing is nailbiting. Years back, I stopped chewing my fingernails which was a pretty nice accomplishment. These days I do not bite or chew, but I pick at my fingers with other fingers. I have been trying to identify the source of the motivation of the habit. To make progress towards that, I have been writing down my thoughts when I catch myself picking my nails.
